MOST COMFORTABLE STEEL TOED WORK BOOTS EVER!!!!I bought these boots for my boyfriend who owns his own automotive repair shop and works from 7 am to at least 9 or 10 pm - sometimes later. All that time is spent on his size 15 feet. As you can imagine, it's critical that he have comfortable boots. He has always work Red Wing boots but he reports that he usually has to "brake" them in for at least a week. These were super comforable from the first moment, and of course shipping was lightening fast and customer service was excellent!!!

Kitchen Gear Pros - Very handy slip-on good for the kitchen haven't slipped in them yet. Have to wear thick socks to snug the fit. Have worn them around on errands also. Not the sexiest shoes but good for utilitarian purposes.

Better than most boots - Rockport has been my brand of shoe and boot for many years. Their boots have consistently been very good looking, light weight, extremely comfortable, rugged, warm and waterproof. However, since the soles of my last pair lasted only about 4 months, I thought it was time to try a different brand.If your winters are wetter and colder, these Red Wing's make a really nice summertime boot because, and I could be wrong but, I don't think they're very insulated or waterproof. But they are, however, a very good looking traditional work boot that are light weight and comfortable.They're priced higher than they're worth compared to Rockport, if Rockport ever decides to get back into the boot business, but compared to the clodhoppers that Timberland makes, for example, they're well worth it.

Lining is NOT leather - These "boots" have very flimsy soles -- like casual walking shoes. They are easily bent and twisted. They are lined with some sort of fabric, not leather as the description states. They are very large around the ankle and instep -- when laced up snug the two sides touch. They are longer than expected and very wide. The finish where the leather meets the sole is rough. I will be returning them -- I expect much more from a shoe that costs well over $100. Looks like I'll continue to buy New Balance shoes.

Booted - Fabulous weight, looks, and comfort. The soles take a little care to keep clean if you care about that sort of thing. Do every other time you wear them with 409 and they stay fabulous. Since Havana Joe is no longer available (anywhere), these are the new shoes I will wear.

A good buy - This is the third pair of footwear that I have purchased from Zappos; I have been very satisfied with all of them. The fit of the Red Wing motorcycle boots is very good. Zappos service is excellent. I have a narrow foot and until I found Zappos' I had a difficult time finding shoes or boots that fit. I couldn't be happier with both the products and the service that I have received.

Top ratings for Redwing Desert Boot - Zappos shipped very rapidly. The quality of the shoe appears top of the line. I've been wearing the shoes for all types of terrain including rocky, sandy, grass, gravel, and pavement and so far, it's been very comfortable and supportive to ankles and arches. You'll pay a bit more for Zappos products, but then, considering free shipping and the fact that they screen for only quality products, it's worth every penny. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that Zappos has such a huge selection of quality shoes, it was difficult selecting.
