Great shoe. These were my first pair of climbing shoes. After trying on about 15 different shoes, these were it. I wear an 11 street shoe, but wanted these to be small. Got a 10.5 and they fit pretty good. Should have maybe gotten a 10, but I will manage. Comfortable, sticky, and aggressive. Great shoe for the money. Zappos rocks!

What’s with this tongue?Break in time was normal - good fit, stiff enough, yet comfortable on longer approaches, and snow shoeing. The only down fall is if you are hiking fast or doing anything with a lot of movement from any angle. The tongue works its way down about a 1/2". This is something that can get kind of tricky when your hands are busy elsewhere. Other than that, it is a warm multi use boot.

Mad Rock Mountain Boots - I used these for the first time ice climbing in Ouray. I wore them for five days and I was very impressed. With the exception of a slight sore spot on my left heel on day three, they were comfortable. The sore spot went away by the 5th day, so I think it was more a break in issue. The temperature was about 22F and my feet never got cold. My G14s fit perfect without any fuss. Lacing was easy and worked well. Although the heel was not as locked in as with my Trango Ice Evos, it did work well. Overall for the price these are probably the best value ice climbing boos on the market. I highly recommend them.

Drat at last! (and warm as heck)I chose these gloves solely on the basis of their being 100% waterproof after yet another encounter with excessively wet situation and my old gloves. Once they soaked through they were worthless for days. The only misgiving that I had was that the style is far more technical than I would normally wear and so I was actually a little embarrassed to wear them out. Practicality prevailed and I can now say that I absolutely love these guys. Completely dry, wonderfully soft and warm on the inside, not bulky at all and god help me, the day-glo orange grips on the palms are fantastic.

GREAT SHOE - I got these shoes a week ago and they're absolutely fantastic. I ordered a half size bigger than my street shoe and they grip like glue. Super comfy and great for heel hooks, no problems whatsoever

Awesome Never Got Wet - I bought these so I would not get wet, not to be styling! I had them up in northern Minnesota at -15 degrees and stuck my hand in the ice fishing hole and was still warm. I do have to say that I got a little cold ice climbing in them.

Good "next" shoe - A comfort beginner shoe if fit loose, a very high performance and affordable shoe if fit tight. I fit them with my street shoe size 9.5 and was painfully tight, you should know they will stretch and that is probably the fit you should have. The rubber is very sticky at the cost of durability. I am loving these right now and several people have reviewed at other sites that a resole job will bring them back to life with more durable rubber. Some have complained that the Velcro wears out, go to a local cobbler they will fix...been doing this on cycling shoes for years.

Ice Climbing Gloves - I have small hands and short fingers, and finding ice climbing gloves that fit and have good dexterity has been a problem. These gloves are very soft and pliable right out of the box, and are the most comfortable gloves I've found. In addition, the orange sticky patches on the palms and fingers provide an extra touch of positive hold on the tools. Last, they're pretty waterproof. I'm extremely pleased with these gloves!

Mad Rock's Flash - PRICEWISE, these shoes are awesome. I went a size down from my street shoes. It was a very tight fit, however, after a week of climbing they fit perfect and I don't think it needs any improvement. It's not been about a month and they are holding very strong. I climb 5 days a week, and like any shoes they will always need to be resoled.

What an awesome boot! This boot is incredible. It's a great all around boot. Fits true to size, easy to break in, for hiking, snowshoeing & mountain work this boot does it and for a decent price. I use a pair of wool socks and these shoes keep warm and dry. It baffles me why there aren't more reviews on this boot. IT'S A GREAT BOOT.
