Turns Heads but Wears Out - I've had these shoes for about 8 months now and wear them pretty heavily. Everywhere I go people actually stop and compliment me (even Wally Mart). Most think they're boots if I wear them with stylish jeans. Unfortunately after only 8 months a hole opened right through the sole of the shoe and water comes in through the bottom. I honestly think they're extremely comfortable however. If you wear them a lot you'll also wear the heel and once the rubber wears off, the shoes are EXTREMELY loud on hard surfaces as wood meets tile.

Bad shoe quality - I just recently received the Impulse shoe. These are by far the most uncomfortable shoe that I have worn in ages! The quality is unbelievably crappy. It looked like a little malnourished Indonesia kid put these together. Also I noticed there was no liner inside the shoe, just bare nothing. The shoe's were not even put together right. For a person who runs six miles a day these shoes just are not right!

I agree that you should order a half size smaller. I did that and they were a good fit, however, the curve in the sole was way more than I could deal with. It made walking very uncomfortable. I felt like my toes were pointing at the ceiling. Also, I found the overall appearance to be a bit costume in person, so I returned them.

Very stylish.Tried to order this shoe in Tan/Bamboo color but they were not in my size. I ordered them in the blue/black. These shoes seem to be of very high quality thought I haven't worn them in the ice and snow yet. The shoes feel to be a half size larger than marked. Overall I have no regrets in getting this shoe even thought it was now my first choice of color. However I find myself liking the color. I do plan to order these shoes in tan/bamboo next. Thanks for being such a great company. It took just 24 1/2 hours from the time of order till they were in my hands.

Impulse Ankle boots - Wow, excellent fit and finish for $100 boot. I was a little weary on the construction of the boot as well the lack of grip- brand new out of the box I was slipping on wood floors. After wearing them occasionally for three weeks now, the grip has improved. They look fantastic; the pictures do not do them justice. Everybody asks where did you get those Italian shoes. They look sharp for the price and are quite comfortable. Wasn't expecting that either- but I've worn them a whole work day and have not felt any discomfort. All around great boot.

Forget these - Three main problems: The sole started coming apart the first week, the color of the sandals rubbed off on my feet the first day, plus the thong caused my toes to turn red.

Great on style, just OK on fit - These boots look much better than in the photos provided-- very rich texture and great color. The fit is quite a bit larger than marked. I have narrow feet, and the boots are easily a size larger than stated. The sole is a quiet, grippy rubber-- not loud, hard leather.

Other colors - Zappos Impulse is a great shoe, but this isn't all the colors. Blue, baby blue & gray saw it in a mall in Memphis, TN. but didn't have my size. I have the black and gray ones just like the brown ones you have online.

Most bang for your buck - These look badass, fashionable and expensive. It's a steal for the price. Get them half a size down for a perfect fit.
