Thank God for moleskin - Look...these shoes just look great. They do...the problem I felt immediately was this ridge on the inside of the shoe (where the tongue meets the rest of the upper). It rubbed me the wrong way...I finally bought self-adhesive moleskin and covered it.They're cute shoes...but for that price there shouldn't be any engineering flaws.

JV-JP Converse Slip-on - Great compliment getting comfortable shoes...My only complaint is that the Converse Jack Purcell/Varvatos are not like the "other" Converse/Varvatos shoes...For example...if you wear a size 10 in slip on shoes normally...get a size 10.5 in these...and a size 9.5 in the "other" Varvatos shoes.

Beautiful but how 'bout some decent laces?I've bought Jack Purcell's for 20 years (it would have been 30 if I'd known you could still get them in the late 70s). This is my first pair of "designer" JP's and they are quite nice. The pictures at Zappos are accurate so what you see is what you get. Here's my one beef and the reason for a 4 star rating. CHEAP SHOELACES. These have to be the cheapest shoelaces I've ever seen on any shoe. I bought a pair of "regular" JPs that had really quality shoe laces. I mean they would last longer than the shoe itself. The laces on this shoe are not at all what I would expect on a pretty expensive sneaker. Other than that, I love them. A comfortable and stylish sneaker.

Great Shoe!Purchased these about 9 months ago. I have had Converse since I was a little kid and these are by far the best. Clean the rubber easily and the style is timeless...Also, mine don't look like they have been worn at all and I wear through shoes fast! These are worth the money for sure! A little tight if you have wide feet...

Sweet shoe!I purchased the white pair. You may have to order 1/2 a size down. I didn't but Zappos exchange policy is fantastic! I had the other pair by the next day and I'm all the way on the East Coast!

More comfortable than expected - I purchased this shoe because of the look, but I now love it because of its comfort. It is easily the most comfortable pair of Chucks I've ever owned. There is more cushion than the average all-star. Plus, it looks cooler too.

Love/hate - This is my second pair of John Varvatos and my 5th pair of Converse Jack Purcell's. Obviously I love JP's. No need to comment on the shoe. They’re awesome.However this color and style are weak. I'm not opposed to some flair. But the caramel color trim along with the un-masculine stripes turned me off. Nothing matches this color. Ladies I would think twice as well. It just doesn't work. Sorry John but you "jumped the shark" on these.
