Can any sneaker be worth $300?On the plus side, this shoe is exquisitely well made, a fine example of high-fashion Italian craftsmanship. My problems mainly come from how Zappos presented it. The color is described as "Florida White". What does that mean? The shoes I received were white patent leather. This is fine if that's what you like, but a rude surprise if you weren't. The other problem is with D. Bikkembergs decision to emboss the entire shoe with a stylized version of his 'DB' logo. In the pix, it looks so subtle that you almost don't see it. In person, they are as obvious as welts! My problem is not so much with the shoe, but with how Zappos presented it. In the pictures, this shoe looks like an elegant, tasteful interpretation of the classic plimsoll; sort of like making a hamburger with Kobe beef. It fact, it is a very garish, derivative style that will probably be out of style long before it wears out. It is an over-the-top style that may work on the Cote d'Azure, or the trendiest of South Beach gay bars, but nowhere else.Nicely made shoe, alas very limited in application. Dirk Bikkemburg needs to be reminded that when interpreting classics, less is truly more.

Pale Pink Bikkembergs - I got this shoe about two months ago. I LOVE it!! They’re so comfortable. I love the look. I have wide feet and I was afraid that they would look bad, but NO!! I was SO happy. This goes with stockings and a skirt (depends) or jeans. They are casual but formal. Definitely a good pair to add to your closet!! =]

Zipper - Love the style - cool strong look. The lower part of the shaft is too narrow; I can hardly get my foot in there. Really love the design though, so I have a zipper put in, which is easy to do.

Ioi13 is NOT an athletic shoe!Rather it's a FASHION shoe without the support or traction usually found in athletic shoes. The tongue rises up into the ankle which makes it uncomfortable for the low or no sock wearer. It has no arch support, and the small bumpy foot base doesn't give much support. In fact it causes me to teeter and my ankle to twist super easily. Very weird for such an athletic looking shoe!However, it is a very chic sleek shoe with soft leather and a flexible sole. It just could use some science of form, function and anatomy behind it.

Very Narrow getting foot in.I absolutely love this Boot! I'm the kinda' guy that loves his boots with a little edge, but subtle. I agree with the first reviewer. To get the boots on, it is a tight fit. But once the boot is on, it’s very comfortable !

Hip, Restless and Comfortable!I am a woman of a certain (older) age. I love these shoes! They are interesting, extremely comfortable and unique. How great to have comfortable shoes that aren't dull and boring. They are extremely well made. Bikkembergs to the rescue for making shoes that look great, have excellent craftsmanship and can make even us older ladies look hip.

A great slide ion every respect - This slide is manly, attractive, true to fit, gives you a rich feeling and most importantly is extremely comfortable. You cannot go wrong...And the representatives of Zappos were extremely pleasant, helpful and informative. My kudos to each of them!!!

Bikkembergs Pale Pink Sneaker - I just got this shoe yesterday. I ordered it on Tuesday night at 8 or so and got it the next night. They are SO comfortable and look really good. I have wide feet and thought that they would look weird, but not the material is very flexible. I am usually an 8 in sneakers or boots. So, I ordered them in 8 and they were perfect with a pair of socks. Comfortable, look great and perfect size!! A closet must have.
