Customer Review - This is a simple but elegant shoe which is very comfortable for office and walking for extended periods. I make a lot of short international flights and hate needing to take several pairs of shoes. I can take only this pair which is comfortable to walk through the miles of airport terminals and dressy enough to go straight into meetings. Ascona: a very cute shoe - This shoe is adorable. It's kind of like a dressier sneaker with a very European look. You'd never find a shoe like this at the mall. Very breathable, very comfortable. It will look great with white pants; I'm not sure about it with a skirt, it would depend on the length. The shoe is very different, and extremely cute.

FINALLY the PERFECT pump!This is the MOST COMFORTABLE pump-type shoe I have EVER worn! It's magnificent. It looks beautiful, is constructed well. I ordered the brown, am now ordering a black pair. Does seem a little shorter than I'm used to, so I am ordering my second pair in a half size bigger. I absolutely love these shoes! I have been walking up and down the stairs at work and all over the building and have had no problems.

I needed a summer shoe to wear to work with pants and this works perfectly. Super comfortable. I am a true medium that favors the wide side and this shoe has plenty of room in the box. Sides tend to come up a tad high but I like that because it feels like it surrounds your entire foot and will not slip off. Very sophisticated looking, good high quality leather- not cheap looking.

Love, love, love these shoes! Lightweight, nicely padded and soooo easy to wear straight from the box. And enough style to keep them from reading fuddy-duddy. They cost more than I like to pay but they're worth it.

Yay! Another color of a favorite shoe!I've had the ara Portland in black for two years now and have been wearing the daylights out of them, not that they look like it-- this is one durable shoe. It's great with pants suits, dresses up jeans, and I can walk in it forever and the fit is perfect. And I finally found a second color (the tortoise brown) in my size!!! This shoe seems a little pricey, but it's a complete winner.

Comfy Style - This sandal is perfect. The heel is a perfect height and it has a strap in back to hold my foot in place. Also, my toes aren't sticking out too far or going over the side. I'm so glad I found these.

Excellent comfortable every-day shoes - These loafers are sized 1/2 size larger, than marked. They are otherwise most comfortable. Light arch support; which is fine for summer. Good with slacks, skirts, and w/e shoes.

Best Shoe I've Ever Worn - I ordered these shoes in a size 8, after totally wearing out another pair of ara shoes. These shoes are absolutely the most comfortable, good looking shoes I've ever worn. They go with pants or skirts and you can walk for miles in them. I just wish they came in more colors.

So Cute and Comfortable - Love these shoes. Ordered them in brown, they were so cute and comfy I immediately ordered another pair in blue. Received so many compliments on them. There are many flat or ballet type shoes on the market, but none were made as well or looked as good as the ARA's. I now own four pairs and am hooked. It's nice to put on a new pair of shoes that do not require a breaking in period. Although this brand can be a little pricey, the unique styles and comfort are worth it. Plan to order a 1/2 size smaller than your regular shoe size; you won't be disappointed.
