Excellent quality and comfort.These are very high quality shoes, in both construction and materials, and the most comfortable I have ever owned. However, I strongly recommend ordering a half-size smaller than you normally would. I am usually a 9 1/2 D but found that the 9 M fit me perfectly with plenty of room in the toe and no slippage at the heel. This sizing is consistent with the Mephisto Cap Vert loafers, which I also bought.

Mephisto Wolf
Mephisto Wolf-The WOLF isn't as comfortable a walking/work shoe as I expected, especially since it comes from Mephisto. I didn't give it 5 stars for comfort because I think the inner sole should have more cushioning. I added some Dr. Scholl's inserts which took care of that problem. The uppers portion of the shoe is very comfortable. The shoe is fairly heavy (without the inserts), which doesn't bother me but might bother someone who is used to wearing Rockports. The WOLF has an excellent non-skid sole.

Comfortable - I walk all day in this shoe and I have worn it every day for five years in the summer and I just sent it in and had it resoled. I love this shoe.

These are extremely comfortable, and versatile shoes. Can be worn with a variety of clothes, because the patent dresses them up, yet they're a fairly casual style.

Gross - These are the worst shoes in the world!! I thing that anyone who buys it is so dumb! I saw them and thought that they were cute but they are so ugly. The leather comes off so quickley and it is so uncomfortable! The bottom of the shoe feels like rocks. Even though they may look good from your computer, they are so hidius! Don't make a fool of your self, and take my advise, dont even consider it!

Great -Mephisto shoes are always incredibly comfortable. They are really supportive and the leather footbed keeps your feet cool and dry in hot weather. I've owned a few pair but this style is a good change because the styling is finer and not so clunky. With the thinner straps and the buckles this shoe is good for when you need to look nice and do some serious walking. The black footbed also means that the sandal doesn't show wear as soon as the other styles.

Mephisto Violette
Great-looking but uncomfortable -I got these sandals for a Hawaii trip, they have a great "aloha" look. The footbeds are very comfortable, however, being made of cork, they are rather inflexible. The leather on the uppers is very stiff and cut into my feet. I wore them once on my trip and wore band-aids on my feet for the next week.
