Medium weight socks seem to work best. Order half size larger if you prefer heavy weight socks/wool. I would be very satisfied at twice the price. These boots may outlast me.

Top notch boot- Outstanding boots. I bought them for cold weather motorcycle riding. So far I have tested them down to 30 deg and they work great. With good outdoor socks your feet stay warm and toasty. And they don't look like some clunky winter boot like the old green rubber things we had when I was a kid- these look great. I have an unusually high arch and a very wide foot across the ball of the foot. I always order Chippewa boots a little larger than other brands. I normally wear a 9 to 9.5 as wide as I can get. I ordered these in a 10W and they are fine, but would have been too small in anything less. Allow for 1/2 to 1 size extra room and you will be as happy as I am when the mercury dips...

Great Craftsmanship -I recently bought this boot and am very happy with it. Overall, the most impressive thing about it is the materials used in making it. The leather is a very good quality and the lining very comfortable and warm. It's waterproof and will make a great winter boot for anyone in the trades. It's a bit on the heavy side, but it makes up for that in comfort. It's also AMERICAN made (Houston, TX)!

Work boots- It's difficult to find work boots in my size at regular department stores. At my wife's request I tried these boots and am very satisfied with how they fit, feel and wear. I wear them 4 days a week; 10 hrs. Each day and don't have any complaints.
